This is an original set of 4 lithographs by Francis Orpen Morris originates from the book "A Natural History of the Nests & Eggs of British Birds", published in 1892.

Francis Orpen Morris (1810–1893) was an Irish clergyman, naturalist, and writer, best known for his works on British birds, insects, and natural history. A passionate advocate for wildlife conservation, he authored the influential A History of British Birds (1851–1857), celebrated for its vivid color illustrations by Alexander Francis Lydon. Morris also wrote extensively about butterflies and moths, contributing significantly to Victorian-era interest in natural history. As an early conservationist, he campaigned against bird plumage hunting and deforestation, leaving a lasting legacy in both natural science and environmental protection.
