Aaron Arrowsmith (1750–1823) was a prominent British cartographer and engraver, regarded as one of the leading mapmakers of his era. He founded a highly respected cartographic business in London, producing detailed and accurate maps, charts, and globes that were widely used for navigation and exploration. Arrowsmith's works, such as his celebrated map of North America (1796), were known for their precision and incorporation of the latest geographical discoveries. His legacy continued through his family, as his son and nephew carried on the Arrowsmith mapmaking tradition.
