Bellin's work was instrumental in documenting global coastlines and waterways, contributing significantly to navigation and geographical knowledge during the Age of Enlightenment. His prolific output included atlases like the Petit Atlas Maritime and individual charts that were used by navies and merchant fleets worldwide.
