This set includes two original etchings by Wilhelm von Kobell. The upper print presents a panoramic cityscape, with a river or body of water in the foreground, flanked by trees, and a distant city skyline featuring spires and prominent buildings. The lower print, titled "Le Moisson" (The Harvest/Harvesters), depicts a rural scene animated by figures, horses, and carts, capturing the essence of agricultural labor. These works exemplify the refined style of early 19th-century German landscape and genre art, combining topographical detail with a picturesque atmosphere.

Wilhelm von Kobell (1766–1855) was a distinguished German painter, printmaker, and professor at the Munich Academy. He is highly regarded for his precise and atmospheric landscapes, particularly those of Bavaria, as well as his military and genre scenes. Kobell's work, often characterized by its meticulous detail and sensitive portrayal of light and atmosphere, bridged the gap between late 18th-century classicism and the emerging Romantic sensibility in German art.
