This finely executed landscape engraving titled View of Karlslund's Mansion was published in Fordna och närvarande Sverige (Ancient and Modern Sweden), a visual survey of Swedish estates and cultural landmarks. The print captures the stately architecture of Karlslund's manor and its surrounding parkland, rendered with elegance and topographic precision that reflects the neoclassical aesthetic of early 19th-century Sweden.

After early naval service in Gustav III’s Russian War, he joined the Surveying Corps and eventually rose to the rank of major.
