Ulrik Thersner was a Swedish military officer, surveyor, and engraver. After serving in Gustav III’s naval campaigns, he joined the Surveying Corps, where he contributed to national mapping and documentation efforts. His most acclaimed work, Fordna och närvarande Sverige, combined technical precision with artistic sensibility, preserving Sweden’s architectural and geographic heritage.
