This double-sided antiphonary leaf, produced in 17th-century Italy, features Gregorian chant written in Latin with square neumatic notation on a four-line red staff. The script is Gothic, executed in bold black ink with rubrics and initials in red. The headings “Hymnus” and “Ant. Ad laudes plurimor. mart.” identify the chants as hymns and antiphons intended for liturgical celebrations in honor of saints and martyrs.

The left page ends with the exclamation “Gloria” in large decorated script, while the right page contains a red-inked initial “U” with an intricate cadel and fragmentary chants referencing palm-bearing martyrs (as seen in the line ut palma florebit). The manuscript’s generous scale and careful layout suggest it was used for communal choral singing, likely within a monastic or ecclesiastical setting.
