90 Anders Fredrik Skjöldebrand (1757–1834) – View of the Uleå River / Fleuve d’Uleå – Aquatint Engraving (1802)

This atmospheric aquatint engraving titled Fleuve d’Uleå depicts the wide curves and forested banks of the Uleå River (modern-day Uleåborg, Oulu) in northern Finland. The composition highlights the dramatic contrast of light and shadow in the Nordic sky, with scattered dwellings and a distant church spire anchoring the serene riverscape. The work was drawn and engraved by Anders Fredrik Skjöldebrand and published as part of his monumental visual travelogue Voyage pittoresque au Cap Nord, issued in 1802.
