This antique map of the Iberian Peninsula, titled Hispania Antiqua, depicts the Roman provinces and tribal regions of ancient Spain and Portugal. Drawn and engraved by Sidney Hall, the map is distinguished by delicate hand-colouring of territorial boundaries, and clear Latin inscriptions of geographic and tribal names such as Lusitania, Baetica, and Tarraconensis. It includes Roman roads, rivers, coastal cities, and notable ancient features like Gades (modern Cádiz) and the Balearic Islands.

The work was published by Longman & Co. in London as part of Butler’s Atlas, a 19th-century educational work designed to accompany classical studies. Sidney Hall (fl.1817–1860) was a prominent British engraver known for his finely executed geographical engravings and early adoption of steel plates in map production. His maps were widely distributed through atlases, schoolbooks, and encyclopedias.
