This finely engraved and hand-coloured map by Christoph Weigel the Elder presents the territories of mainland Greece, the Peloponnesus, and the Aegean islands, with Latin toponyms and classical references. Titled Græciæ et Archipelagi Delineatio, the map shows ancient and early modern geography, including regions such as Achaia, Thessalia, Macedonia, Creta (Candia), and Asia Minor (Natolia). The seas are labeled Mare Ægæum and Mare di Candia, while islands like Rhodes, Crete, Lesbos, and the Cyclades are carefully outlined. The decorative cartouche in the lower-left corner depicts allegorical sea figures and classical iconography, typical of Baroque cartography.

Christoph Weigel the Elder (1654–1725) was a German engraver and publisher known for his highly detailed maps and illustrated theological works, contributing significantly to the visual culture of the Baroque period.
