189 After Anders Zorn (1860–1920) – Nude Woman in Motion – Etching – (c.1908)

This expressive etching of a nude female figure in dynamic posture is an "after" work based on the original composition by Anders Zorn. The print is signed in plate and exemplifies Zorn’s signature use of line and shadow to evoke both form and movement. The fluidity of the pose and contrast of light and dark convey an almost spontaneous liveliness. While this impression is not an original etching by Zorn himself, it follows his distinctive style and artistic sensibility.
This work may be part of the famous collection Die Kunst des Radierens, published in Berlin in 1908 under the supervision of Hermann Struck, which showcased exemplary etching techniques by leading artists of the time.
