Drie Rokers – Etching by Jacob Gole, 1670

Jacob Gole (1660–1737) was a Dutch engraver and publisher known for his etchings and reproductions of famous paintings. His works often depicted genre scenes, portraits, and satirical subjects characteristic of Dutch art of that period. He collaborated with masters such as Gerard Dou and Adriaen van Ostade, reproducing their works in print. His etchings are distinguished by high detail and masterful use of light and shadow.
