This striking black-and-white still is taken from Andy Warhol’s 1964 underground film Blow Job, which features an extended close-up of actor DeVeren Bookwalter’s face as he reacts silently to an implied sexual act. The minimal composition, with the subject’s head bathed in light against a textured wall, is emblematic of Warhol’s experimental approach to time, voyeurism, and performance. The image was printed for the 2008 exhibition Discover Andy Warhol! (Upptäck Andy Warhol!) at Moderna Museet in Stockholm. This large-format Giclée print was produced on microcement and mounted on okumè wood by Jernström Offset in 2007.

Andy Warhol (1928–1987) was an American artist and a leading figure in the Pop Art movement. Known for his iconic depictions of consumer goods and celebrities, Warhol challenged the boundaries between high art and mass culture. In addition to painting and printmaking, he worked extensively in film, producing over 60 feature-length and experimental works. His studio, The Factory, became a legendary hub for artists, musicians, and countercultural icons of the 1960s and 70s.
