Raphael Sadeler I (1560-ca. 1628-1632) was part of the engravers's dynasty of the sadeler family. He worked in Antwerp, Munich and Venice. Paul Bril (1554-1626) was a landscape painter who worked in Rome, although born in Antwerp. This type of landcape, known as vedute ideate or vedute di fantasia, is a typical example of his best-known work.
