202 Carl Lindman (1856–1928) – Set of 10 Botanical Studies – Marsh Skullcap & Black Nightshade – Chromolithographs (1905)

This remarkable set of ten antique botanical chromolithographs is drawn from Carl Lindman’s Bilder ur Nordens Flora, published in Stockholm by Wahlström & Widstrand in 1905. The selection showcases a rich variety of Nordic plant species, including Marsh Skullcap (Scutellaria galericulata L.), Field Bindweed (Convolvulus arvensis L.), Jacob’s Ladder (Polemonium caeruleum L.), Climbing Nightshade (Solanum dulcamara), Black Nightshade (Solanum nigrum L.), Black Henbane (Hyoscyamus niger L.), Great Mullein (Verbascum thapsus L.), Common Elecampane (Inula vulgaris Mill.), and two identical plates of Water Speedwell (Veronica beccabunga L.).
Each illustration reflects Lindman’s dedication to scientific precision and artistic detail, offering a visual record of the flora native to Sweden and the greater Nordic region. These prints remain valuable both for historical botanical study and as elegant decorative pieces.
