Louis Renard (1678-1746) was a French publisher, bookseller, and naturalist known for his significant contributions to the study and illustration of marine life. His most famous work, "Poissons, Ecrevisses et Crabes," published in 1719, featured exquisite illustrations of fish and crustaceans, showcasing his skill in producing high-quality engravings. Renard's publications were influential in disseminating knowledge of marine biology and are prized today for their artistic and scientific value.
