26 Paolo Fumagalli - Map of Pompeii with Mount Vesuvius, Naples - Italy

Two hand-coloured maps of POMPEII (on the same sheet). One shows POMPEII at the time of the eruption in 79, the larger shows the contemporary situation, with Mount Vesuvius, Naples and POMPEII. This original print originates from: "Pompeja. Traite pittoresque, historique et geometrique. Ouvrage dessine sur les lieux dans les annees 1824 au 1827" by Paolo Fumagalli. This book was published around 1830 in Florence, at the expense of the author.
