John Barnes was a British artist active in Paris from around 1779 to 1787. Known for his detailed and skillful engravings, he contributed to the rich artistic culture of the time. His works often depicted scenes of contemporary life and landscapes, capturing the essence of 18th-century France. Despite his relatively short active period, Barnes left a significant mark on the art world with his meticulous and elegant engravings.
