This rare and finely detailed map, titled Poloniae & Lithuania accurante curatius, was engraved by Johann Christoph Weigel and presents a broad depiction of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and its neighboring territories. Extending from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea, it covers Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, and parts of Ukraine, capturing the geopolitical expanse of Eastern Europe during the early 18th century.

The map is richly ornamented with a decorative title cartouche and reflects the scholarly precision characteristic of Atlas scholasticus et itinerarius, also known as Bequemer Schul- und Reisen-Atlas, a collaborative work between Weigel and the historian Johann David Köhler. This educational travel atlas was among the most influential reference works of its time, designed to aid both academic instruction and practical orientation.
