Carl Gustav Jablonsky (1756–1787) was a Prussian illustrator and early advocate of Linnaean taxonomy. As private secretary to Queen Elisabeth Christine of Prussia, he worked at the intersection of science and courtly culture. His illustrations of fungi, insects, and other natural subjects remain among the most sophisticated visual documents of late 18th-century natural history.
