Titled Plan De Lubeck Et De Ses Environs, the map details the urban layout, defensive fortifications, and topographical features critical to military strategy. The composition includes a decorative title cartouche, a scale bar, and is marked “Pl. 8” and “Campagne de 1807” along the top border, indicating its inclusion in a larger series of strategic battle plans.

Ambroise Tardieu was a prominent French cartographer and engraver of the early 19th century, celebrated for his precision and elegant craftsmanship. His works appeared in numerous atlases and scientific publications, playing a vital role in documenting the historical geography of the Napoleonic era.
