This emblematic engraving titled Meditatio Quotidiana (Daily Meditation) features a devotional scene with a group of figures kneeling in prayer before a radiant "A" in the sky, representing divine illumination or the presence of God. In the background lies a well-ordered town with churches, orchards, and walls, symbolizing both the earthly and heavenly city. The Latin and German verses below the image call for forgiveness and divine grace: "O Christ, forgive my guilt confessed, that I may worship Thee in Heaven with the Father."

The print is a moral and religious meditation typical of Meisner's emblematic oeuvre, combining allegorical imagery with personal piety and ethical reflection. These engravings served both as decorative miniatures and as tools for daily spiritual contemplation in the early 17th century.

Daniel Meisner was a Bohemian poet and moralist, widely known for his Thesaurus Philo-Politicus, a series of emblematic city views and meditative prints. Working with Frankfurt and Nuremberg publishers, he fused humanist ideals with Christian virtue and civic pride.
