This beautiful antique engraving by Ulrik Thersner depicts Sturefors Castle, one of Sweden’s historic noble estates, rendered with architectural precision and surrounded by a tranquil landscape. The work was published as part of Fordna och närvarande Sverige (Ancient and Modern Sweden), a landmark visual series that documented Sweden’s castles, manors, and historical monuments during the 19th century. The engraving reflects Thersner’s careful attention to both structure and setting, combining topographical accuracy with classical composition.
