155 Nicolas Gaucher (1846–1911) – Set of 3 Botanical Prints – Cherry Varieties from “Gaucher’s praktischer Obstbaumzüchter” – Germany (1894)

This set of three chromolithographs features detailed botanical illustrations of cherry varieties, including "Eltonkirsche", "Nouvelle Royale", and "Esperen’s Knorpelkirsche". These plates were published as part of Gaucher’s praktischer Obstbaumzüchter, a German horticultural work focusing on practical fruit tree cultivation. Each print showcases the fruit’s form, color, and foliage with striking clarity and lifelike precision.
These illustrations were produced through the chromolithographic process, a popular 19th-century method for printing color images. The plates were issued by the renowned Stuttgart publisher Ebner & Seubert in collaboration with lithographer Johann Georg Keller and botanical artist Nicolas Gaucher.
The work was published in Stuttgart, Germany, in 1894.
