This beautiful set of 3 original engravings is from Friedrich Arnold Brockhau’s ”Bilder-Atlas”. The works were published in Leipzig, 1870.

Friedrich Arnold Brockhaus (1772–1823) was a prominent German publisher and entrepreneur. He founded the publishing house F. A. Brockhaus, which became one of the leading publishing companies in Germany. Brockhaus is also known as the founder and publisher of the "Brockhaus Enzyklopädie," one of the most well-known and authoritative encyclopedias in the German-speaking world. His work contributed to the dissemination of knowledge and culture and had a significant impact on German and European publishing.
