William Pinnock (1782-1843) was a British publisher, bookseller, and writer, best known for his educational works. He co-founded the publishing firm G. & W. B. Whittaker and became famous for Pinnock’s Catechisms, a series of educational books covering various subjects, aimed at young learners. Pinnock also published abridged versions of historical and geographical texts, making knowledge more accessible to a wider audience. His contributions played a key role in 19th-century education and the development of popular instructional literature in Britain.
